Strategy Guide – Overview

United Way’s Equity Strategy Guides provide specific guidance to help  United Ways advance equitable change in education (childhood and youth success), economic mobility, and health. The guides build on our impact area strategy guides initially shared in 2016 and leverage the Six Levers included the Equity Framework. The strategy guides emphasize systemic approaches that address specific gaps and disparities especially through policy/advocacy, partnerships, resident community engagement, and the use of disaggregated data. United Ways are encouraged to review the guides and adapt the goals, strategies, and approaches based on local needs and context.
